ARCHITECTURAL PROJECT

OVERVIEW.
베리준오디자인센터의 해당 건축 프로젝트는 위스키 증류소를 단순한 생산 공간이 아닌, 방문객이 브랜드와 위스키 전반에 대한 문화를 직접 경험할 수 있는 문화 체험 관광형 공간으로 재구성하는 데 목적을 두었습니다.

특히 본 프로젝트는 한옥 형태의 문화 공간을 단지의 중심에 배치하고, 그 주변으로 증류 및 관련 시설을 구성하여, 생산과 문화가 하나의 서사 안에서 공존하는 공간 구조를 제안합니다. 중심의 한옥 문화공간은 방문객이 머무르고 교류하며 브랜드 스토리를 체험하는 장소이자, 전체 공간을 연결하는 상징적 허브 역할을 합니다.

또한 자연 환경과의 조화를 고려한 배치와 재료 선택을 통해 방문 자체가 하나의 문화적 경험이 되도록 하였습니다.
본 프로젝트는 산업 시설, 전통 건축, 문화 공간, 관광 인프라의 경계를 넘나드는 새로운 유형의 증류소 모델을 제안합니다.

This architectural project by VERY JOON OH Designer Center aims to redefine a whisky distillery not as a mere production facility, but as a cultural and experiential destination where visitors can directly engage with the brand and the broader culture of whisky.

In particular, the project proposes a spatial composition in which a hanok-inspired cultural space is positioned at the center of the site, with distillation and related facilities arranged around it. This configuration allows production and culture to coexist within a single narrative. The central hanok cultural space serves as a place for visitors to stay, interact, and experience the brand story, while also functioning as a symbolic hub that connects the entire complex.

Furthermore, the layout and material selection were carefully considered to harmonize with the natural surroundings, ensuring that the visit itself becomes a cultural experience.
This project presents a new type of distillery model that transcends the boundaries between industrial facilities, traditional architecture, cultural spaces, and tourism infrastructure.
